DELTA -- Lonnie Harris, 65, died Jan. 27, 2012.
Born Dec. 5, 1946 in Dutchtown, to the late Laurel Samuel and Artimis Driskell Harris, he worked as a first mate and had more than 40 years of experience with United Barge Lines in Metropolis, Ill. He attended Cape First Church in Cape Girardeau.
On June 6, 1981, he married Loretta Keller who survives of the home.
Other survivors include: a daughter, Rebecca Marburger of Mt. Olive, Ill.; three stepsons, Paul Keller, Jim Keller and John Keller of Chaffee; two stepdaughters, Brenda McClard of Chaffee and Linda Keller Pace of Jackson; two sisters, Catherine Holder and Carolyn Jobe of Scott City; and 13 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, Sam Harris, and a granddaughter, Brandy Keller.
Visitation is scheduled after 4 p.m. Wednesday at the Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee where services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday with the Rev. Jack Owens officiating.
Burial will follow at Williams Cemetery in Perkins.
