PUXICO -- Wendell L. Clinton, 71, died Feb. 2, 2012, at his home.
Born Sept. 19, 1940, in Puxico, to the late Floyd and Cora Beal Clinton, he was a lifelong resident of Puxico where he graduated from Puxico High School in 1959 and was a 60-year member of the First Baptist Church. He worked at Sifford Feed Mill for 26 years and had also been employed at Truman Green Standard Station and Vern John's Farms.
On Aug. 19, 1961, at Puxico, he married Linda Ozburn who survives of the home.
Other survivors include: three sons and two daughters-in-law, Buddy Clinton and Gary and Sherri Clinton of Puxico and Michael and Britni Clinton of Dexter; two daughters and sons-in-law, Teresa and Terry Adams of Dallas and Robin and Roger Martin of Puxico; two brothers, Ronnal Clinton of Puxico and Douglas Clinton of Park Hills; four sisters, Melba Bell and Merlyn Cummings of Puxico, Shirley Duer of Jackson and Phyllis Pederson of Farwell, Minn.; and nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by two sisters, Lois Young and Bonnie June Clinton.
Visitation will begin at 5 p.m. Sunday at the Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Puxico. Services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the First Baptist Church of Puxico with the Rev. Phil Bray of Macon officiating.
Burial will be in Duck Creek Cemetery.
