SIKESTON -- Ruth W. Triplett, 88, died Feb. 3, 2012, at the Miner Nursing Center.
Born May 25, 1923, in Vanduser, to the late J.P. and Mary Kate Reding Wornica, she was a member of Tanner Street Church of God and Morley Church of God.
On Feb. 26, 1945, she married James Lester Triplett who preceded her in death on Oct. 6, 2004.
One brother, Lenn Wornica, and two sisters, Katy Waldo and Rachael Green, also preceded her in death.
Survivors include: one son and daughter-in-law, Loyd and Debbie Triplett of Essex; one sister and brother-in-law, Martha and James Burchfield of Sikeston; and two grandchildren, Michael Triplett of Irving, Texas, and Steven and Janet Triplett of Dallas.
Visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m. Monday at the Ponder Funeral Home where services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Tuesday. The Rev. John Neeley, pastor of Tanner Street Church of God, will officiate assisted by Richard Triplett, pastor.
Burial will follow in the New Morley Cemetery in Morley.
