EAST PRAIRIE -- Deanie Bard, 78, died at 11:15 a.m. Feb. 10, 2012, at the Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
Born June 25, 1933, in New Madrid County to the late Cleve and Sarah Jane Stanfield Jackson, she lived all of her life in New Madrid and Mississippi counties and was a member of the First Baptist Church in East Prairie.
On March 9, 1950, in Arkansas, she married Billy Bard who survives of the home.
Also surviving are: one son and daughter-in-law, Bruce and Barbara Bard of Wickliffe, Ky.; two daughters and sons-in-law, Pam and Jerry Crawford of Paducah, Ky., and Renee and Barry Kelley of East Prairie; four brothers, J.D. Jackson and Teddy Jackson of Matthews, Jessie "Bud" Jackson of East Prairie and Alton E. "Wacker" Jackson of New Madrid; three sisters, Lucille Partin of Cunningham, Ky., Charlotte Grissom of New Madrid and Regina Redden of Marston; and five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by one grandson, Craig Bard, one sister, Willene Williams, and two brothers, Shirley "Tommy" Jackson and Clevie O'Dell "Flukie" Jackson.
Visitation will begin at 5 p.m. Sunday at the Shelby Funeral Home in East Prairie where services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Monday. Jim Moore will officiate.
Burial will follow in the East Prairie Memorial Park Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be: Corey Bard, Justin Bard, Shaun Kelley, Allison Kelley, Logan Carneal and Brian Bard.
