SIKESTON - When the lights go up at Friday night's Valentines for Veterans concert featuring country music star Lee Greenwood, the first singer taking the stage will be Sikeston's Anna Catherine DeHart. DeHart will open the evening by performing "The Star Spangled Banner."

The performance at the Black River Coliseum, which seat 4,500 people, will put in front of her biggest audience ever.

While DeHart only recently found her way into the spotlight, she is quickly making a name for herself.

The Sikeston teen said she always liked the idea of entertaining.
