NEW MADRID -- The New Madrid County Circuit Court is taking another step -- albeit a small one -- into the digital age.

Sitting in front of a computer screen, Virginia King placed a divorce decree from 2011 into the scanner next to her. With a click and a whir, the document moved through the machine and in seconds the information became part of the court system's digital records.
