SIKESTON -- The city's annual street program will come in under budget even after adding in the cost of a computerized management tool.

Construction bids for the 2012 Street and Stormwater Drainage Improvement Program were approved as submitted by city staff during the regular Sikeston City Council meeting Monday.

The total program cost came in $17,118 below the estimated $724,000 even after the addition of a geographic information system mapping project, according to Steve Lee, street superintendent.
