MARSTON -- Harold L. "Pee Wee" Hayes, 80, died March 8, 2012, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
Born June 7, 1931, in Ridgely, Tenn., to the late Jack and Clara Faucett Hayes, he was a member of the First Baptist Church in Portageville where he served as a deacon. He was a farmer, served in the National Guard and was a board member of the New Madrid County Ambulance District.
On Jan. 5, 1952, in Marston, he married Betty Jane Washburn, and she survives of the home.
Other survivors include: three daughters and sons-in-law, Kathy and Steve St. Mary of Portageville, Vicki and Charlie Lange of Marston and Jane and Phil Carlton of Nashville, Tenn.; one sister, Lois Mitchell of Dallas; two brothers, R.H. Hayes Jr. and Jerry Hayes of Marston; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Marjorie Prince.
Visitation is from 5-8 p.m. Sunday at DeLisle Funeral Home in Portageville. Services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday at the First Baptist Church in Portageville with the Rev. Donnie Hutchinson and the Rev. Dr. Buck Morton officiating.
Burial will follow in the Mounds Park Cemetery.
