SIKESTON -- Anna Marie Forsythe, 91, died March 11, 2012, at the St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
Born July 3, 1920, in Lilbourn, to the late James B. and Nellie Elliott Ward, she was a self-employed beautician for 23 years and was employed by Anchor Toy Co. for 16 years. She was a member of the North Acres General Baptist Church in Sikeston, where she also worked as the custodian for 23 years.
On April 18, 1939, in Charleston, she married Robert Forsythe, who preceded her in death on Feb. 17, 2001.
She also was preceded in death by three brothers and three sisters.
Survivors include: one son and daughter-in-law, Robert R. and Bettie Forsythe of Scott City; one daughter and son-in-law, Sharon and Paul Marchbanks of Kansas City, Mo.; four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday at the Nunnelee Funeral Chapel, where services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday with the Rev. Frank Winfree of Kansas City officiating.
Burial will follow in the Garden of Memories Cemetery.
