MORLEY -- Jessie Lee Abernathy, 92, died March 9, 2012, at the Chaffee Nursing Center.
Born April 15, 1919, at Oran, to the late William and Ada Taylor Black, she was a member of the Morley Baptist Church and a retired machine operator with the International Hat Co. in Oran.
On Oct. 14, 1933, she married Mack Abernathy who preceded her in death on Dec. 3, 1975.
She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Melba Frye, and three brothers and four sisters.
Survivors include: a son and daughter-in-law, Jim and Maxine Abernathy of Oran; two daughters and a son-in-law, Betty and Gene Davis of Sebring, Fla., and Vicki Hodges of Concord, N.C.; a son-in-law, Harry Frye Jr. of Florissant; and nine grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and 18 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled after 4 p.m. today at the Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Oran.
Services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Morley Baptist Church with the Rev. David Thompson officiating.
Burial will follow in the Old Morley Cemetery.
