Local man sentenced for soliciting commission of a crime

CAPE GIRARDEAU -- A Sikeston man was sentenced to prison Monday for soliciting another person to commit a crime of violence.

Robert E. Gipson, 59, was sentenced to 30 months on one felony count of solicitation to commit a crime of violence, according to the U.S. Attorney's office.
