SIKESTON -- Lottie J. Mon, 87, of Sikeston, died March 14, 2012, at the Chateau Girardeau in Cape Girardeau.
She was born Oct. 3, 1924, in Casa, Ark., to the late J.T. and Florence Hubbard Yarbrough. She was a homemaker and real estate broker, and a member of the St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Sikeston.
On Aug. 12, 1946, in Sikeston, she married Emilio Mon, who preceded her in death on Jan. 14, 2001.
One son, Robert Anthony Mon, preceded her in death on Aug. 5, 1995, and one daughter, Sarah Isabelle Mon, preceded her in death on Nov. 4, 2000.
She was also preceded in death by one sister, Marie Holmes; and two brothers, Cpl. Mason Yarbrough and Ted Yarbrough.
Survivors include: one sister, Rose Collins of Kansas City, Mo.; two grandchildren, Lauren Mon Owen and Mike Mon, both of Tampa, Fla.; and many devoted nieces and nephews, Leroy Holmes of Oran, Glenn Holmes of Sikeston, Mary Ann Janner of McKenzie, Tenn., Bill Holmes of Oran, Shirley Anderson of Sikeston, Jim Yarbrough of Franklin, Tenn., Charlie Yarbrough of Grand Junction, Colo., David Yarbrough of Matthews, Ronnie Hartline of Cape Girardeau, Dennis Collins of Kansas City, Mo., Mark Collins of Gravois Mills and Susan Coppock of Kansas City, Mo.
The funeral Mass was conducted today at the St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Sikeston, with the Rev. Glenn Eftink, pastor, officiating.
The committal service followed at the Memorial Park Cemetery in Sikeston.
Pallbearers were: Nathan Holmes, Scott Holmes, Chad Holmes, Terry Holmes, Joaquin Anderson, Ben Anderson and Jeremy Anderson.
