CHARLESTON -- William G. "Bill" Anderson, 77, died March 22, 2012, at the St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
Born Nov. 25, 1934, in Mississippi County, to the late Clarence Kirb and Vern Rose Baker Anderson, he had lived in Mississippi County his entire life, was engaged in farming until his retirement and was of the Baptist belief.
On Aug. 31, 1956, he married Shirley Stallings, who survives of the home.
Also surviving are: one son and daughter-in-law, Tony and Martha Anderson of Monroe, La.; one daughter and son-in-law, Kathy and Blake Miller of Cape Girardeau; two sisters, Frances Lingle and Jerry Ann Barnes of East Prairie; and five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Charles P. Anderson and C.K. "Dick" Anderson, and three sisters, Betty Walker, Juanita Holder and Dorothy Anderson.
Visitation will be held from 1 p.m. until time of services at 2 p.m. Saturday at the McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston. The Rev. Michael Brewer, pastor of the First Baptist Church of Charleston, will officiate.
Burial will follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery near Charleston.
Pallbearers will be: Josh Miller, Rick Davis, Justin Cook, Mike Leible, Charles Lingle and Mark Dunaway.
