NMCC blisters Bloomfield 27-4

BLOOMFIELD -- New Madrid County Central improved to 2-0 with a 27-4 road win over Bloomfield on Thursday.

After failing to score in the first inning, NMCC blew the game open with 14 runs in the second and added 13 more in the third.

Michaela Townsend earned the win, throwing two perfect innings, striking out five. She was relieved by freshman Alexa Garner who pitched the final inning.

Katie Rausch was 4 for 4 at the plate with two doubles and a triple for the Lady Eagles.

NMCC will be back in action today when they travel to Twin Rivers.
