Friday, March 23, 2012 ~ Updated 2:11 PM

SIKESTON -- A Sikeston Junior High School teacher faces charges of child enticement of a student.

Andrew J. Delles, 28, of Jackson is charged through Scott County Court with three counts of enticement of a child (unclassified felony) and three counts of sexual misconduct involving a child (class D felony), according to Lt. Jim McMillen, public information officer for DPS.

"These charges came about after the allegations and investigation of explicit photographs being sent to the victim and reports of inappropriate touching of the child," McMillen said.

Around 11:30 a.m. Thursday Sikeston R-6 School District administrators notified DPS about the allegations. Investigators with DPS immediately began working the case, compiling information regarding the allegations, McMillen said.

Around 3 p.m. Thursday, Delles was located traveling in his vehicle near U.S. Highway 61 and HH Highway. He was arrested by law enforcement, and the case remains under investigation.
