Ricky Cavitt

SIKESTON -- Ricky Leon Cavitt, 54, died March 19, 2012, at Sikeston.

Born June 20, 1957, in Success, Ark., to the late Richard Leon and Dorotha Rice Cavitt, he was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps and a lineman for SEMO Electric.

On July 16, 1988, at Cooter, he married Jackie Burton, who survives of the home.

Other survivors include: two daughters, Deanna Burton of Sikeston and Taftene Henley of Statesboro, Ga.; two sons, Chris Johnson of West Point, N.J., and Scott Kennedy of Sikeston; one sister, Kim Rice of Doniphan; and seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Services were conducted March 22 at the Powell Funeral Home in Steele with the Rev. Johnny Colley officiating.

Burial followed in the Number-Eight Cemetery in Cooter.
