ANNA, Ill. -- The Sikeston Lady Bulldogs fell to Anna, Ill., Thursday, 4-1.

Sikeston lone goal came from Katherine Inman with the assists from Madison Chaney.

Inman's kick came on the heels of Anna's third goal in the second half.

"It was from about 20 yards out and Katherine took a good shot," Sikeston head coach Doyle Noe said. "She chipped it in just over their goalies head. It was a good, heads up play by Katherine."

The Lady Bulldogs fell behind 2-0 by the end of the first half. A penalty kick put Anna up 3-0 in the second half. Sikeston (0-5) scored their goal in the 65th minute.

"We've been having some trouble scoring so far this year, but the girls played solid for most of the game," Noe said. "The score was not an indicator of how hard we played."

Sikeston will be off until Tuesday when they travel to Fredericktown.
