REIDLAND, Ky. -- The Sikeston Bulldogs split their games during the second day of the Reidland Invitational baseball tournament on Saturday.

The Bulldogs defeated Heath High School 7-6 and lost 5-0 to Calloway, Ken.

Clayton Driskill hit a go-ahead, pinch-hit double in the fifth inning against Heath that held up for the Bulldogs, who had 11 hits in the game, to take the win.

Patrick Smith went 2-4 with a home run and three RBI, while Tyler Anderson added another home run. Trent McMillan went 3 for 4 with a double.

With a two hour time limit in place for every game, Sikeston's contest against Heath went just six innings.

During their first game on Saturday, Sikeston was held scoreless by University of Kentucky signee, Dylan Dwyer, from Calloway.

The Bulldogs were held to just two hits, both from Drew Harper.

Sophomore Jared Sandlin received the loss going five innings and giving up both runs (one earned) on five hits. He also struck out four.

"Overall, we played well this weekend," Sikeston head coach Alan Scheeter said. "We hit the ball well against Heath and it took a Division I kid to shut us down against Calloway."
