Employees of Midwest Recycling Center load old and broken electronics during the E-Waste 2012 Recycling Day Saturday in the parking lot next to the VFW Stadium off East Malone Avenue in Sikeston. Jeff Porter, co-owner of MRC, said turnout was lower than expected as not many residents took advantage of the event, which allowed them to properly dispose of the old items. A second drop-off location set up in Chaffee during the same time period was also experiencing a low turnout, he said.
