PUXICO -- Marzella Catherine Skelton, 97, died April 1, 2012, at the Puxico Nursing and Rehab Center.

Born Sept. 14, 1914, in Bridgeport, Okla., daughter of the late John Franklin and Mary Catherine Smith Heldermon, in 1940 she moved to Puxico where she was a member of the Puxico Christian Church for 63 years.

On Sept. 11, 1940, in Sarah, Okla., she married Fred Skelton, who preceded her in death on Jan. 22, 1993.

Surviving are: two daughters and sons-in -law, Doris Ann and Charles Hedspeth of Puxico and Reita Fay and Phil LeBeau of Dexter; five grandchildren and spouses, Delisa and Eric Sitze, Tracy and Brian Robison, Clint and Hannah LeBeau, Kurt and Lindsay LeBeau and Weston and Ashley LeBeau; and five great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by four brothers, Tommy Heldermon, Prentiss Heldermon, Frank Heldermon and Ernest Heldermon, three half-brothers, Odes Heldermon, Earl Heldermon and Albert Heldermon; one sister, Oneta Heldermon Sisco; and one half-sister, Etta Heldermon Weiss.

Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. until time of services at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Puxico Christian Church in Puxico. The Revs. Wiley McGhee, Todd Allen of Poplar Bluff and Bobby Nordack of Puxico will officiate.

Burial will be in the Puxico Cemetery.

The Watkins and Sons Funeral Service of Puxico is in charge of arrangements.
