URBANA -- Carriel True Deane, 81, formerly of East Prairie, died April 1, 2012, at the Colonial Springs Healthcare Center in Buffalo.
Born July 30, 1930, in East Prairie, to the late Cariel True and Tola Hale True, she had lived in Urbana after moving from St. Louis, where she retired from General American in 1985. She attended the Bethel Assembly of God Church in Hermitage and was a member the Order of the Eastern Star 99 of Hermitage.
In 1949, she married Hal Deane, who preceded her in death in 1988.
In addition to her parents and husband, one brother, James W. True, preceded her in death.
Survivors include: one son, Hal Deane Jr. of Urbana; one daughter, Margaret Wolford of Pittsburg; one brother, Lee J. True of Groveland, Fla.; one sister, Pat Broyles of St. Louis; two grandsons, Hal F. Deane III of St. Louis and David Joseph Williams of Murray, Ky.; and one great-granddaughter.
Visitation is scheduled from 11:30 a.m. until service time at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston. Allen Perkins, pastor of the Bethel Assembly of God Church in Hermitage, will officiate.
Burial will follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery near Charleston.
