CARBONDALE, Ill. -- The Sikeston Lady Bulldogs soccer team won seventh place in the Fralish Cup Saturday defeating Marion, Ill., 1-0.
Madison Chaney scored the games only goal with the assist from Monica Carter.
Sophomore Annie Ramey, who blocked 18 shots on goal this weekend, picked up the shutout as keeper.
"Annie had a great game and a great weekend actually," Sikeston head coach Doyle Noe said. "She's starting to figure out the position."
Before taking seventh, the Lady Bulldogs lost 5-2 to Springfield, Ill.
Chaney and Lucy Barajas scored Sikeston's goals against Springfield while Carter provided another assist during Barajas' goal.
"Overall, it was a good weekend for us," Noe said. "We figured out a little bit about ourselves as a team and played against some good teams."
Sikeston (3-7) will host Cape Central on Tuesday at the Sikeston Sports Complex.
