JEFFERSON CITY -- As the road construction and maintenance season begins, motorists are seeing highway work zones popping up across the state.
MoDOT's job is to make the work zones clear to understand and navigate, and above all, safe.
Part of the ongoing process to continually improve work zones is to solicit feedback from those traveling the roadways. This year, new signs will ask drivers to "Rate Our Work Zones."
"We are placing these signs near the beginning of work zones as a way to encourage motorists to tell us what they think," said Julie Stotlemeyer, traffic liaison engineer. "Once motorists safely reach their destinations, we want their feedback on what it was like to travel through the work zone."
