Five injured in Monday accident near Malden

MALDEN - Four children were injured when the car they were riding in was involved in an accident.

The Missouri Highway Patrol reported that at 4:30 p.m. Monday, Stephanie R. Sherrod, 37, of Malden, was driving westbound on Highway J, one mile east of Highway H, when her vehicle ran off the left side of the roadway, striking an embankment. The vehicle then became airborne and struck several trees.
