LITCHFIELD, Ill. -- Dolan Jarnagin, 80, formerly of Marston, Mo., died April 24, 2011, in Litchfield.
Born March 24, 1932, in Clarksville, Ark., to the late Robert James and Mary Compton Jarnagin, he had retired from Noranda Aluminum. He had served in the National Guard and the U.S. Navy and was a member of the Evergreen Baptist Church.
On Nov. 20, 1954, in New Madrid, Mo., he married Melvine Brewer who survives of the home.
Other survivors include: one son, James Jarnagin of Carlinville; two daughters, Peggy Lewis of Litchfield and Debra Rooker of Mira Loma, Calif.; one sister, Minnie Lou Casey of the state of Arkansas; two brothers, Bob Jarnagin of Bathelow and Jim Jarnagin of Portageville, Mo.; and six grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by three brothers, Sammie Jarnagan, David Jarnagan and Bill Jarnagan, and one sister, Becky Jarnagan.
Visitation is scheduled from 9 a.m. until time of services at 11 a.m. Saturday at the DeLisle Funeral Home in Portageville with the Rev. Frank Townsend officiating.
Burial will follow in Mounds Park Cemetery.
