PORTAGEVILLE -- Three people are scheduled to be arraigned today following an armed robbery at a convenience store.
Portageville Police Chief Ronnie Adams said his office was contacted at 12:07 a.m. Saturday that the Casey's General Store, located on Highway 162, was being robbed. Adams said a man had entered the store armed with scissors and demanded money from the clerk.
"When the officers arrived the suspect was gone and we began a search of the area," Adams said. Assisting the Portageville Police in the search were deputies from the New Madrid County Sheriff's Department.
