COLUMBIA, S.C. - Cherie Gale Mitchell-Lloyd, formerly of Sikeston, Mo., died Friday, April 27, 2012 at Providence NE Hospital in Columbia.
She was born Feb. 13, 1957, in Sikeston, to W.J. Mitchell of Oklahoma and Anna Blackburn Mitchell of Sikeston.
While in Sikeston she was a surgery technician at Missouri Delta Medical Center, and worked as a realtor in Columbia. She was a 1975 graduate of Sikeston High School, a member of First AsseUmbly of God Church in Sikeston and attended Shandon Baptist Church in Columbia.
On Oct. 12, 1990, in Sikeston, she married G. Kirk Lloyd, who survives of Columbia.
Other survivors include: two sons, Nathan Wallace and Eric Wallace both of Columbia; one sister and brother-in-law, Vicki and Bill Deane IV of Sikeston; one grandson, Nathaniel Wallace of Sikeston; and many loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family members.
Services were conducted today at Ponder Funeral Home. The Rev. Dwayne Maynard, pastor of First Assembly of God in Sikeston, officiated. He was assisted by the Revs. Lenny and Judy Myers, pastors of Trinity Gospel Church in Sikeston.
Interment followed in Memorial Park Cemetery.
