SIKESTON -- A grant from the State Emergency Management Association will provide funding for the first building on Three Rivers College's Sikeston campus.
Three Rivers College announced Friday in a news release the receipt of over $3.3 million in grant funding from SEMA.
The money will be used as base funding for two new building projects: the first building on the Eastern Campus in Sikeston and a new classroom building on the main campus in Poplar Bluff. The SEMA-funded safe rooms within the buildings will provide temporary tornado protection, but will be designed to serve a host of other purposes.
