One dead in Catron shooting

CATRON -- One person was killed and another is in custody following a shooting near Catron in Stoddard County early Saturday morning.

Stoddard County Sheriff Carl Hefner said the shooting happened shortly after 5 a.m. Saturday.

The victim, 20-year-old Philip Goforth, reportedly died from a single gunshot wound.
