Two men injured in Charleston shooting

CHARLESTON -- Two persons are recovering from gunshot wounds following a shooting Monday.

Charleston Department of Public Safety Director Robert Hearnes reported officers responded at 10:30 a.m. Monday to a report of gun shots fired in the area of Vine and Lee streets.

At the scene, officers found two people who had been shot. Eric Dowell, 31, and Dwight Robinson, 56, both sustained gunshot wounds and were transported to area medical facilities for treatment, Hearnes said.
