LITHONIA, Ga. -- Roy B. "R.B." Yarber, 82, formerly of Sikeston, Mo., died May 19, 2012, at his home.

Born March 4, 1930, in Sikeston, to the late Robert and Lottie Green Yarber, he had served in the U.S. Army and was of the Baptist belief.

He is survived by: nine sons, Roy Yarber Jr. of Chicago, Aaron Yarber of Los Angeles, Darryl Yarber of Stone Mountain, Reggie Yarber of St. Louis, Larron Watson of Lithonia, Eric Ransom of Memphis, Tenn., and Marcus Yarber, Jerome Little and Payton Hunt all of Sikeston; four daughters, Shirley King of Los Angeles, Sonya Watson of Lithonia, Heather Pate of West Memphis, Ark., and Jill Warren of Austin, Texas; two brothers, Aaron Yarber of Cape Girardeau, Mo., and Isaiah Yarber of Fort Valley; one sister, Ella Sumlin of Sikeston, and a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Visitation is from 2 p.m. until time of services at 3 p.m. Saturday at Green Memorial Church of God in Christ with his son, Roy Yarber Jr. officiating.

Burial will follow at a later date.

The Williams Funeral Home of Sikeston is in charge of arrangements.
