ELSAH, Ill. -- Janette Louise May, 79, died May 27, 2012, at her home.
Born Oct. 8, 1932, in Puxico, Mo., to the late Charles and Elizabeth Hodge Glenn, she had worked as a long-distance operator for Bell Telephone in Detroit. She later worked as a waitress, a bank teller and an assistant cashier.
On Oct. 28, 1950, she married Loy May who survives of the home.
Survivors include: three sons and daughters-in-law, David and Pat Mordvar May of Florissant, Mo., Danny and Carol May of Magnolia, Ark., Doug and Kimberly May of Collinsville; two daughters and sons-in-law, Janelle and Kevin McCoy of Dorsey and Melissa and Greg Guerra of Elsah; a sister, Norma Hix of Godfrey; and 12 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Visitation is scheduled from 5-7 p.m. Thursday at the Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Puxico where services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday.
Burial will follow at the Puxico Cemetery.
