CHAFFEE -- Orilla "Rilla" Pobst, 84, died May 27, 2012, at her home.
Born Jan. 8, 1928, in New Hamburg, to the late Otto and Mamie Westrich Scheeter, she was a member of Guardian Angel Catholic Church in Oran and of the St. Ann Sodality.
On Sept. 9, 1950, she married A.J. Pobst who survives.
Other survivors include: two sons and a daughter-in-law, Rick and Vera Pobst and Scott Pobst of Oran; one daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Mark Rhodes of Murphysboro, Ill.; three brothers, Ervin Scheeter of Benton, Herb Scheeter of Cape Girardeau and Alvin Scheeter of Danville, Ill.; three sisters, Arabella Stike of Cape Girardeau, Lois Eastwood of Chaffee and Ada Lee Hasenkamp of Benton; and four grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two sisters and three brothers.
Visitation is scheduled at 4 p.m. today, with a parish rosary at 7 p.m., at the Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Oran. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Guardian Angel Catholic Church with the Rev. Randy Tochtrop serving as celebrant.
Burial will follow at the church cemetery.
