WARRENTON -- Billy Joe Turnbo, 72, died May 26, 2012, at his home.
Born May 26, 2012, in Portageville, to Lorell Davis Turnbo of East Prairie and the late Guy Turnbo Sr., he was a skilled trades worker, a pipe fitter and raised mules and Tennessee Walkers on his ranch. A member of Pauldingville Masonic Lodge No. 11, he retired from General Motors in 2001 after 25 years.
In addition to his mother, survivors include: his wife, Thelma Hamilton Turnbo of Warrenton; a daughter, Terri Lynn Bouckaert of Hillsboro; a brother, Guy Turnbo of Sikeston; three sisters, Joyce Matula of Padre Island, Texas, Suzie Jackson of East Prairie and Pam Jackson of Jefferson City; and four grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son and daughter-in-law, Ty and Karen Turnbo, and a son-in-law, Russ Boucheart.
Visitation is scheduled from 3 p.m. until time of services at 7 p.m. today at the Pitman Funeral Home in Warrenton.
A private burial will be in the Woodlawn Cemetery in Desoto.
