EAST PRAIRIE -- Rebecca Ann "Becky" Presson, 71, died at 4:10 a.m. June 1, 2012, at the St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
Born Aug. 28, 1940, in New Madrid, to the late William M. and Alline Nunn Boyd, she had lived most of her life in Mississippi County where she was employed as the bookkeeper for Wolf Island Farms for several years and was a past member of the Eastern Star and a member of the First Church of God in East Prairie.
On May 22, 1970, at New Madrid she married Harold Duke Presson Sr. who survives of the home.
Also surviving are: three sons and daughters-in-law, Jimmy and LaDonna Reno, Mike and LuAnn Reno and Duke and Jennifer Presson Jr. of East Prairie; four sisters, Imajane Helms of East Prairie, Sue Treadway of Cape Girardeau, Betty Jo Tilley of Plainview, Texas, and Sharon Baehr of Lilbourn; and three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Three brothers, Roy Boyd, Kenny Boyd and Bill Boyd, and one sister, Pansy Sexton, preceded her in death.
Visitation will begin at 5 p.m. Monday at the Shelby Funeral Home in East Prairie where services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday with Paul Matte and Larry Smith officiating.
Burial will follow in the Dogwood Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be: Kenny Kindle, Daryl Wolford, David Barnett, Bobby Johnson, Kenny Joe Schaffer and Tim Coppage.
Honorary pallbearers will be Jon Jo Bryant, Rene DeKriek, L.F. LaPlant, Steve Riley, George Clay Broughton, Phillip Allred and Chris Keene.
