SIKESTON -- Murry Lee Asberry, 83, died May 30, 2012, at the Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.
Born May 23, 1929, in Anniston, to the late Will Asberry and Charlotte Scott McCline, he attended Charleston Public Schools and worked in timber cutting.
He is survived by: three daughters and one son-in-law, Carolyn Young Harris and Bud Harris of Charleston, Lisa Wimbeley of St. Louis and Sederia Asberry Robinson; two brothers, G.H. McCline of Las Vegas and Gloster McCline of Charleston; two sisters, Ruby Dowell of Wyatt and Emma Jean Beaty of Benton Harbor, Mich.; five stepsons, George Moss of Cairo, Ill., Derrick Moss of Cape Girardeau, Rodney Moss of the state of California and Felix Hill Jr. and Leslie Harrington of Chicago; three stepdaughters, Tammy Dixon of Charleston, Kathy Moss Howard of Indianapolis and Florence Moss of Sikeston; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Williams Funeral Chapel in Charleston.
Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery near Charleston.
