SIKESTON -- Donna Laverne Miller, 79, died at 5 a.m. June 7, 2012, at the Sikeston Convalescent Center.
Born Oct. 11, 1932, in White Oak to the late Eugene Daniel and Lois Marie Waller Hankins, she was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the American Legion and had previously worked as a switchboard operator for the Norfolk and Western Railroad.
On Dec. 5, 1991, in Poplar Bluff, she married Rodger Miller who survives of the home.
Other survivors include: four sons and two daughters-in-law, Barry Jackson of Sikeston, Terry Jackson of St. Louis, James and Mitzi Jackson of St. Louis and Patrick and Monique Miller of Houston, Texas; four sister, Peggy Dee of Sikeston, Clara Brannum of St. Peters, Debbie Wilson of Sikeston and Mary Baker of Kansas City; one brother, Dennis Hankins of Poplar Bluff; and five grandchildren.
Two brothers, Daniel Hankins and David Hankins, preceded her in death.
Visitation is scheduled at 10 a.m. Monday at the Blanchard Funeral Chapel in Sikeston where services will be held at noon with the Rev. Mary McCord officiating.
Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery in Sikeston.
Pallbearers will be: Josh Jackson, Tyler Jackson, Cody Jackson, Whitney Wilson, Denny Miller and Jason Miller.
