BLOOMFIELD -- Bobby Gene Dennis, 79, died June 11, 2012, at the Missouri Veterans Home in Cape Girardeau.
Born April 6, 1933, at Williamsville, to the late Mable Fisher Dennis Seeker and Fred Bradford Dennis, he was a former welder/pipefitter with Little Rock Union Hall No. 155. A veteran of the U.S. Air Force, he was a member of the First General Baptist Church in Bloomfield, the Poplar Bluff Masonic Lodge No. 209 and the Bloomfield Chapter Order of Eastern Star No. 385.
On April 23, 1976, at Malden, he married Pansy Rogers and she survives of the home in Bloomfield.
Other survivors include: one son, Richie Dennis of Poplar Bluff; one daughter, Rhonda McGowen of Poplar Bluff; one stepson, Dennis Rogers of Centralia, Ill.; one stepdaughter, Charlotte Haggard of Kansas City; one sister, Connie Kesler, of Milltown, Ind.; and six grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one son, Robbie Dennis.
Services were conducted Wednesday at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter with the Rev. Kevin Eskew officiating.
Burial with full military honors followed in the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery at Bloomfield.
