DEXTER -- Joseph Ray Geuin, 56, died June 19, 2012, at his home.
Born Jan. 3, 1956, in DeRidder, La., son of the late Marvin Credale Geuin and Lois Lavina Simpkins Geuin, he was affiliated with the United Pentecostal Church where he was a member of the ministerial alliance for 39 years. He was the senior pastor of the First Pentecostal Church in Dexter.
On March 26, 1977, in Leesville, La., he married Cheryial Elliot who survives of the home.
Other survivors include: four sons, Marcus Geuin of Dexter, Charles Geuin of Cambria, Ill., Joseph Geuin of O'Fallon and Gentry Geuin of Dexter; one brother, Charles Geuin of Shreveport, La.; one sister, Linda Thomas of Calhoun, La., and three grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two sisters, Mary Paul and Bonnie Tyler.
Visitation is from 5-8 p.m. today and from 5 p.m. until time of services at 6:30 p.m. Friday at the First Pentecostal Church on One Mile Road in Dexter. Pastors Mike McConnaugey of Mansfield, La., Mickey Lewis of Aurora, and Stephen Willeford, Missouri Superintendent of the United Pentecostal Church, will officiate.
A graveside service will be conducted at 10 a.m Saturday in the Dexter Cemetery.
