NEW MADRID -- Rosie Lee Hill, 76, died June 12, 2012,
Born Aug. 19, 1935 in Marston, to the late Lady Bee Martin and Peter Wilderness, she worked for 25 years at Sells Rest Home from which she retired.
In 1952, she married Eugene Hill, and he preceded her in death.
She was also preceded in death by three children, Jacob Hill, Betty Brown, and Ruben Hill.
Survivors include: five children, Rosie Marie Spicer (Arthur) of St. Louis, Joseph Hill and Kelvin Hill of New Madrid, Jerry Lewis Hill of Colton, Calif., Lyndora Hughes (Ronnie) of Cape Girardeau; one stepsister, Velma Hill; one sister, Nola Rucker of St. Louis; one brother Calvin Wilderness of St. Louis; a special friend, Eugene Maxwell; and seven stepgrandchildren, and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation is from 5-8 p.m. today at Richards Funeral Home, where services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday.
Burial will follow in the Sand Hill Cemetery.
