DEXTER - Lyman Jerry "Nub" Jines, 78, died June 24, 2012, at the Crowley Ridge Care Center.

Born March 5, 1934, in Sikeston, he was the son of the late Lyman Lloyd Jines and Cora Mae Knight Jines. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served in Korea shortly after the Korean War.

Survivors include: one son and daughter-in-law, Jason and Patty Jines of Dexter; six brothers, Jack Jines of Bloomfield, Joe Jines of the state of Florida, and Gary Jines, James Jines, Laddy Jines and Larry Jines all of Dexter; two sisters, Patsy Cook of Dexter and Judy Hadley of the state of Oregon; and two grandchildren; and a special friend, Earlene Hunt.

He was preceded in death by one sister, Margaret Dickerson.

A graveside service with full military honors will be conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield with Michael Morrison officiating.
