OVERLAND PARK, Kan. -- Nell Mae Rettig, 100, formerly of Sikeston, Mo., died June 27, 2012, at her home.

Born Jan. 28, 1912, in Columbus, Ky., she was the daughter of the late George and Lena Dickerson Cook.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Sherman Retting.

Also preceding her in death were four brothers, Oscar Cook, Cecil Cook, Jewett Cook and Ola Cook, and two sons-in-law, one grandchild and two great-grandchildren.

Survivors include: three daughters and a son-in-law, Jolene Feagan of Sikeston, Carol Carl of Overland Park and Brenda and Tom Kearns of Bonne Terre, Mo.; two sisters, Hazel Abbott of Moline, Ill., and Bonnie Smith of Swansea, Ill.; and eight grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.

Visitation is scheduled from 11 a.m. until time of services at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston. The Rev. Kelley Grubbs, pastor of the Murray Lane Baptist Church of Sikeston, will officiate.

Burial will follow in the Garden of Memories Cemetery in Sikeston.
