Four people sentenced for passing counterfeit currency

CAPE GIRARDEAU - Three people involved in a scheme to pass counterfeit bills in Southeast Missouri communities, including Sikeston, will serve time in federal prison while a fourth received probation.

Darius Antoine Lankford, 29, of Huntsville, Ala., was sentenced to 15 months on four felony counts of passing counterfeit currency; Terry D. Hester Jr., 28, of Poplar Bluff, was sentenced to 18 months on five felony counts of passing counterfeit currency; and Darius Alan Robinson, 23, was sentenced to 24 months on two felony counts of passing counterfeit currency. Brynet Nicole Trice, 20, was sentenced to five years probation on four felony counts of passing counterfeit currency. All appeared before United States District Judge Carol E. Jackson.
