Burn ban issued for Mississippi County

CHARLESTON -- A no-burn order has been issued for Mississippi County and portions of southern Scott County, in effect until further notice, according to a news release.

Open burning, as well as the use of fireworks, is prohibited under the order.

The order was issued by the Mississippi (Scott) County Rural Fire District.
