EAST PRAIRIE -- Alma Patricia Spikes, 82, formerly of St. Louis, died at 10:09 p.m. July 3, 2012, at her home.
Born March 17, 1930, in East Prairie, to the late Thomas R. and Sara Bailey Murphy, she lived in the St. Louis area most of her life before moving back to East Prairie in the last year.
She married Hershel Spikes who preceded her in death.
She was also preceded in death by a former husband, Charlie Merl Little, one son, David Morris Little, four sisters, Betty Jean Murphy, More Pearlene Murphy, Earman Miller and Oval Mae Hale, two brothers, James Carl Murphy and Charles E. Murphy, and a grandson, Rondle Ray Little Jr.
She is survived by: four daughters and sons-in-law, Connie and Billy Foust of Morehouse, Donna and John Stevens of Bartlesville, Okla., Kathy and Bobby Cleaton of Tuskahoma, Okla., and Sharon and Charles Stodgel of Sparta, Ill.; one son and daughter-in-law, Rondle and Linda Little Sr. of East Prairie; four sisters, Zelma McNew of Benton, Velma Simmons of St. Louis, Margaret Shull of East Prairie and Cecelia Lewis of Desoto; one brother, Thomas E. Murphy of St. Louis; and 13 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
Services were conducted today at the Kutis Funeral Home South County.
Burial followed in the Shepherd Hills Cemetery at Barnhart.
