SIKESTON -- Cheston Pierce, 86, died July 9, 2012, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
Born June 17, 1926, in Lamar, Ark., to the late Eara and Sinda Phillips Pierce, he had been a maintenance worker for the Sikeston Country Club and was a member of the Assembly of God Church in Canalou.
He married Rachel R. Branum who preceded him in death.
Two brothers and one sister also preceded him in death.
Survivors include: five sons, Vernie Cummins, Ray Pierce and Frank Pierce of Canalou and Ron Pierce and Don Pierce of Silver Springs, Colo.; and four daughters, Barbara Spencer and Joy Johnson of Sikeston, Kay Bailey of Canalou and Marsha Johnson of Matthews.
Visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m. today at the Nunnelee Funeral Chapel where services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Thursday. The Rev. Mike Cartwright, pastor of the Assembly of God Church in Canalou, will officiate.
Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery in Sikeston.
