WILSON CITY -- Louis Banks, 85, died July 7, 2012, at his home.
Born June 26, 1927, in Crittenden County, Ark., to the late Will and Mary Moses Banks, he was a butcher for Meat Packers and a member of Wounded Healers Word Church Baptist in Chicago.
In 1947, at Marion, Ark., he married Zenora Moore who survives of the home.
Other survivors include: six sons, Louis Banks Jr. of Milwaukee, Charles Edward Banks of Chicago, Levi Watson and Milton Watson of Houston, Frank Banks of Kansas City, Mo., and Raymond Baker of Memphis, Tenn.; five daughters and one son-in-law, Felecia Banks of Aurora, Ill., Penelope "Penni" Watson and Patricia Watson of Kenosha, Wis., Inice Banks of Cape Girardeau and Stephanie and Archie Haynes-Banks of Wilson City; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled from 10:30 a.m. until time of services at 11:30 a.m. Saturday at the Williams Funeral Home in Charleston.
Burial will follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery near Charleston.
