3 shot in Charleston

CHARLESTON -- A weekend shooting in Charleston left three people injured and police searching for the suspects.

According to Charleston Department of Public Safety Director Robert Hearnes, officers received a 911 call about a person shooting a gun near the intersection of Vine and Oliver Streets at approximately 5:30 Saturday evening.

Responding officers found three people that had been shot. One victim was shot in the arm while another was shot in the buttocks and the third shot in the thigh. None of the injuries were believed to be life threatening.

No suspects are currently in custody and the investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information is urged to contact Charleston DPS at (573) 683-3737.
