DEXTER -- Willie Stafford, 76, died July 15, 2012, at the Golden Living Center in Bloomfield.
Born Dec. 24, 1935, in Sidney, Ark., to the late Willard and Vada Dale Stafford, he had lived in Essex and Dexter most of his life. He was a retired construction worker and attended the Freewill Baptist Church in Malden.
On Dec. 27, 1957, in Bloomfield, he married Zerlene Langston who survives of the home.
Other survivors include: one son, Randy Stafford of Dexter; two daughters, Teresa Moriarty and Diane Seiter of Dexter; one sister, Faye Little of St. Peters; one brother, Roy Stafford of Dexter; and three grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.
He was preceded in death by four brothers, Vaughn Stafford, Tom Stafford, Houston Stafford and Dean Stafford, and two sisters, Marie Kimball and Inez Stafford
Visitation is scheduled from 5-8 p.m. today at the Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Dexter where services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday with Elijah Allen of Marble Hill and Kevin Swain of Kennett officiating.
Burial will follow in the Hagy Cemetery in Dexter.
