Two critically injured in Tuesday morning crash

At about 8:20 a.m., officers with the Sikeston Department of Public Safety were called to a collision at the intersection of East Malone Avenue and Ingram Road.

According to Lt. Jim McMillen, DPS public information officer, an eastbound full-size truck on Malone Avenue struck a passenger car as it crossed the intersection on Ingram Road.

"This collision overturned the passenger car and it was left resting upside down in a nearby parking lot," McMillen said. "The pick-up truck overturned several times after striking the car and ejected the driver. The truck continued, barreling through a nearby light pole and landing upright roadside."
